Good space planning isn’t just about fitting things in, it’s about creating balance, movement, and purpose within every square metre.

When space is limited, intention becomes everything.

This open-plan 0.5 bedroom apartment was digitally reimagined to create separation without sacrificing flow. By using lighting, material contrast, furniture placement, and subtle zoning techniques, the space begins to feel like multiple experiences within one footprint.

The dark timber divider creates privacy between the sleeping and living areas while still allowing the apartment to breathe naturally. Every element was selected to maximise functionality, soften transitions, and make the home feel larger, calmer, and more considered.

This one leans into depth.

Layered blues, rich wood tones, and textures that catch just enough light to keep things interesting without shouting for attention.

The contrast is doing the work here. Smooth vs grain, matte vs soft sheen, cool vs warm. That balance is what keeps a darker palette from feeling heavy.

It’s calm, a little moody, but still grounded and liveable.

Proof that blue doesn’t have to feel cold. It just needs the right textures around it.
